A lot of people have tight hips and lower backs. I am one of them.
It is super important to warm up properly before exercise and make sure you are activating your hips and glutes. Sitting down for long periods of time is usually the culprit, but tightness from previous exercise (or lack of exercise) can cause symptoms as well.
